A basic Toffee Shortbread, for which there are a number of add-ons. Think Pecan(which I tried), Walnut, Chocolate, or even Coconut. I guess you could call this an ETS Stone! You might even add your favorite Ice Cream to this for a unique treat!
English Toffee is made(basically) using Sugar and Butter, and the Philly Butter Cake at 1% added the mouthfeel, and extra butter I was looking for, here. Testing the Shortbread Biscuit revealed a bold floury, and strong baked note, so I kept it low, and completed that part of the profile with the SB cookie, and Flavour Art's wonderful Vanilla Cookie which also gave me the touch of vanilla I wanted.
I believe 'some' amount of sweetener is needed to give the toffee it's authenticity, but you decide!
I may drop a second version of this one at some point, with one or more of the option's listed above, added.
