Alright, this particular recipe has been undergoing lots of changes over
the last few months. Honestly, I can't remember if it was a client
request or not LOL, or my personal tastes, but I've grown to really love
an eggy custard, with JUST enough eggy-ness, but not TOO much, mixed in
with a vanilla pudding. Sadly, it IS more complicated than just
slamming some CAP VC1 and FLV V. Pudding together. Now they're IN
there, hehe, but it's still a tweak-fest.
I always seemed to be gravitating right back to some kind of a CAP VC1,
VC2 mix. Well that's still alive and well here, and weighing in at only
6% of the total 13% overall flavor, might not be egg-slamming enough
for the egg-heads, but tempered with the FLV V. Pudding, TPA V. Swirl,
and FW S. Cream, it just started to work. Attempts with ONLY using
FLV's Smoked BS were good, but adding in the FA BS seemed to anchor that
better. I actually blew through NUMEROUS versions with CAP Super Sweet
just out of laziness, BUT, it has become obvious that for my tastes,
Custards seem to favor the EM more than not. Always optional. I'm
debating on leaving out, or adding back in some TPA Dairy/Milk as it
does bring something different to the table, but it's out of this
version. I also deviated from my standard 70v/30p ratio, up to an
80v/20p ratio.
2 week steep should be a minimum, unless you JUST can't wait !!!!!
Does the world need ANOTHER Custard ?? LOL, maybe not, but maybe it DOES need a great Smoked Butterscotch Custard !!!!!
Most of the flavors should be fairly common, and if you mix it up, drop a
line and let me know if you love it as much as I do, OR hate it LOL.
